This was an excellent day adventure with Barboros on the drive and Bora leading our full Kayak tour, we learnt so much in short and comical time about the local recents and very ancient history. Our mid April visit was perfect weather for the waves and ramble around the islands among the ancient ruins, wildlife, with delicious lunch stop. Reccomend ensuring you have extra lira for locally made ice cream and other things you’ll find on the trip too!

Kayaking at Kekova island was amazing. Making the reservation was easy and immediately we received all indications to arrive at the place. No problem. Bura, our guide was kind and provided good information about the history of the place. Totally recommend doing this kayak tour with Sea Kayak Turkey.

Nous avons passé une excellente journée avec Go Lycia. Nous n'étions que quatre et il a adapté l'excursion pour que nous arrivions toujours après les grands groupes ou que nous accostions à des endroits différents. Nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur les ruines et avons très bien mangé. Je recommande vivement de réserver directement auprès d'eux et non par le biais d'agences.

L'excursion avec Barbaros et son assistant était absolument fantastique. Sympathiques et professionnels, ils nous ont fait découvrir les plus beaux sites de l'île de Kekova, alliant à merveille nature, sport et culture. Le circuit fait 8 km, ce qui est assez long, mais grâce à son organisation, nous l'avons réalisé sans problème, même avec une fillette de 9 ans. Un grand merci, c'était un des moments forts de nos vacances !
Superbe excursion en kayak avec Barbaros, un guide sympathique et très compétent sur l'histoire et la culture de la région. Avant le départ, il nous a expliqué comment utiliser le kayak et, tout au long de la journée, il a su nous captiver avec des anecdotes sur les ruines lyciennes présentes sur le parcours. La balade en kayak était vraiment agréable et, même pour une novice comme moi, je peux dire qu'elle n'était pas trop difficile. Nous nous sommes arrêtés dans quelques criques aux eaux cristallines où la baignade était très agréable. Enfin, le déjeuner à Simena était délicieux et nous avons également eu l'occasion de visiter le château d'où l'on jouit d'une vue imprenable sur toute la baie. Je recommande vivement cette excursion !

My partner and I did this activity at the start of the season (April) so it wasn’t as busy and we ended up being the only ones on the tour which was great! The tour guide (Buğra) was very friendly and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the driver (Barbaros) company he was very kind and chatty. The kayaking was great, the equipment was great quality, we got a plastic container for our phone and wallet (stayed dry the entire time). We went to a bay (they provided snacks here- fruit and nuts) first then past the sunken city then to an island where we had lunch (chicken, fish or vegetarian options) which was delicious! Overall amazing experience 10/10 recommend! It is a solid shoulder workout be warned (moderate difficulty for us).

Le guide était un excellent instructeur, il connaissait bien Kekova et les îles. C'était un professeur fantastique ! C'était la première fois que je faisais du kayak et il a été patient et m'a soutenu lorsque je me sentais parfois stressé. Il m'a fourni tellement de conseils et d'encouragements ! J'ai passé un très bon moment à explorer la belle Kekova !! 😍😍

C'était une excursion incroyable en kayak avec le guide le plus intéressant et le plus intelligent. Il vous racontera beaucoup d'histoires et de faits intéressants tout en vous divertissant et en vous faisant sentir en toute sécurité. La visite en elle-même est très intéressante et vaut vraiment son prix :)

Quelle journée formidable dans l'ensemble. Barbie était le meilleur guide ! Les connaissances qu'il a transmises étaient perspicaces et très intéressantes. Du début à la fin, la journée a été bien organisée et le déjeuner était excellent. Honnêtement, nous avons passé la meilleure journée et nous la recommandons vivement.

Journée parfaite !! Le timing et le rythme de la journée étaient spectaculaires ! Il est bien mieux de prendre le temps de tout voir de près et de tout expliquer en détail ! Vous pouvez faire cette pagaie en tant que débutant !! Deux guides étaient avec nous pour s'assurer que tout le monde passe un agréable moment !! Je ne peux pas dire assez de bonnes choses sur la Barbade !!! Merci mille fois pour cette journée parfaite ! Faites ce voyage !!

What a fabulous time we all had. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 in our 50's and 2 in early 20's. Picked us uo from Kalkan, then beautiful drive through Kas to our start point. A beautiful, authentic village.
Our guide was enthusiastic and knowlegeable. Relaxed but safety conscious at all times. He made sure that he accounted for the most, least able athletic at all times His English was excellent.
The trip itself was scenic and very interesting to learn about the sunken villiages. The highlight was visitingthis tiny village Simena and enjoying a huge lunch. We even saw a turtle. Perfect day it had it all .

Our kayak tour with Barbaros was definitely the highlight of our vacation! The water and the beaches were beautiful, and the entire tour was simply perfectly organized. 😊 During the tour, we received a lot of interesting information about the sunken city, the ruins, and the history of the region. Simena with its small castle was also totally charming, and the ice cream there was super delicious. In between, we were able to swim at dreamy spots and enjoy the scenery. Barbaros spread a really good atmosphere throughout the day, and you could tell how much passion he puts into the tour. The combination of kayaking, nature, history, and relaxed exploration was simply perfect. We would do the tour again anytime and can truly recommend it to everyone!! 🌊☀️

Superbe journée en mer !
This was by far one of the most fun things we did on holiday. There is nothing better than mixing a bit of archeology, nature, history, kayaking, great company and food in one go. Our tour guides were amazing. Full of interesting information, and great company for the day. Written May 13, 2026

What a wonderful experience! From start to finish the whole team were nothing but friendly, gracious, and kind. A wealth of information about the geology, geography, and history of the region, and at the same time excellent at getting people on and off the water and paddling like pros in no time. I was very impressed with how much just two people did, and how they cared for each individual on the trip, treating them like friends, encouraging them, and checking in to make sure we all felt confident on the water. Our trip included two delightful kids, and they were so sweet with them. We were also a multi-lingual group, and they seamlessly moved from English, to German, to Turkish, always including everyone. The beauty of the area and the quiet village life we got to see was such a highlight, as were the ruins, both on land and under water! It was the right amount of time, so even beginners didn't get too exhausted, and was punctuated with two breaks. There was time for swimming (though no one in our group braved the chilly water) and time for exploring. Lunch was delicious and plentiful! All in all, a very balanced glimpse of Turkish ruins, countryside, and time on the water. I heartily recommend!
Super beautiful tour! Good value for money. There were only 4 participants, which made it very pleasant. From 8 people, the groups are supposedly split, so one can expect a manageable group. The historical tour from Bugro was truly informative and interesting. The water is crystal clear. The included food was delicious, and the ice cream at Simena (which one can indulge in additionally) is truly recommended. The entire tour is a beautiful experience and physically manageable! Go for it!

I highly recommend this tour with Go Lycia; everything about the trip was fun and well organized. They picked us up in Kas and drove us to our starting location. During the ride the guide gave us fascinating information about the area and life in Turkiye. Once underway, he did a great job of coordinating the group; keeping everybody safe without being annoying. The trip was beautiful, and Barbaros continued to make it informative and fun. The ruins are not spectacular, but where still very interesting. On the day we went, the conditions for kayaking were ideal with no chop and little wind. The kayaking tour of Kekova is very well laid out. We had a great guide with a good sense of humor. Pickup was well organized. The tour starts with a longer stretch of 3km kayaking when you have a little swim break afterwards. Then another 3km which goes slowly due to the explanation of the sunken city and then you go for lunch at the castle. After a well deserved break it is 2km but again there is a little swim stop included. All together, everyone with a normal fitness level can do this, and no experience is required. We were staying in Kallkan and were struggling to find a tour which would include transport as we didn't have rental cars. I contacted the company by WhatsApp on Saturday afternoon and was able to agree a booking for the next day. The driver collected us at 7am and we had a very comfortable journey to the starting point. The equipment was all in good condition and within around 30 mins of arrival we were all set up and on the water. The tour was great, we started with a long paddle across the bay to a lovely beach where we could swim and also take in some Roman ruins. As we were getting ready to leave the bay become very crowded with large boats anchoring and letting their passengers swim. We managed to weave our way through them and set off for the sunken city. This was to be honest the least enjoyable part of the tour, as although our guide was very knowledgeable, I had expected that we would see much more below the surface, such as whole buildings etc. When in reality all we could really see were a few outlines of walls from the dock. It was however a nice paddle along the coast until we then had to sprint between the constant flow of large tourist boats travelling in both directions along the coast. We paddled across to the the lunch stop where we had a lovely lunch included and time to wander around the small lanes and eat ice cream. Next we made a short trip to a rocky outcrop which the braver members of the group were able to climb and make a 5m jump into the ocean. The trip was rounded off with a short paddle back to the start point. All in all a fantastic day on the water. Review of: Private Sea Kayaking tour of Kekova Written August 19, 2024
I can't recommend this trip highly enough. Barbaros is an entertaining guide, who has a detailed knowledge of the surrounding area and a plethora of interesting facts at his disposal. Seeing Kekova from a kayak makes for a really immersive experience and if you're a kayaking novice then fear not, as Barbaros will put you at ease with some simple instructions. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the trip for a quick dip in the sea to keep you cool. The lunch at Simena was delightful and there are plenty of photo opportunities (and ice cream) at the castle summit.
