Start in Üçağız

Meet your guide in the fishing village of Üçağız, get your equipment and have a short safety briefing before heading onto the water. Transfers from Kaş and Kalkan are available.

Paddle to Simena

Start paddling towards Kaleköy (Simena), one of the most beautiful villages on the Kekova coast. Take some time to explore the village, have lunch or climb up to the castle for the views over the islands and coastline.

The Sunken City of Kekova

From Simena, continue towards the famous Sunken City of Kekova. Paddle slowly along the protected coastline while looking down into the clear water at the remains of ancient Dolichiste.

Kekova Island & Tersane Bay

Continue around Kekova Island towards Tersane Bay, a sheltered natural harbour with clear turquoise water. This is a good place for a swim and a rest before continuing east.

Gökkaya Bay

From Tersane, continue into Gökkaya Bay, a beautiful and much quieter part of the Kekova coast. The bay is surrounded by small islands, rocky coves and clear water, making it a perfect place for a longer swim and picnic.

Sura Delta

Continue towards the eastern end of the journey and the peaceful waters of Sura Delta. Once home to the famous oracle of Apollo, today this quiet river and wetland area is a very different experience from the open sea. There is also a possibility of spotting sea turtles here.

Finish at Andriake

The journey finishes at Andriake, the ancient harbour of Myra. From here, your transfer takes you back towards Kaş, or onward to your next destination.

We provide a small waterproof container (3lt) for each kayak to keep small items dry, such as phones, and wallets.

The hatches in the kayak provide space for towels, and a plastic bag is typically sufficient (although it's semi-waterproof, a few drops may still penetrate).

Please refrain from wearing jewelry

Keep passports in your hotel; a passport photo is adequate for the transfer, just in case of unexpected checks.

Kayak from Üçağız to Andriake

Paddle east through the heart of Kekova, from the quiet harbour of Üçağız to the ancient harbour of Andriake.

Unspoiled coastline:
A full-day sea kayaking journey through the clear waters of Kekova, passing quiet bays, rocky islands and some of the most beautiful coastline in the region.

Tersane Bay:

A beautiful sheltered bay and a perfect place for a swim and a break before continuing east.

The Sunken City:
Paddle slowly alongside the submerged ruins of ancient Dolichiste. The clear water gives you a unique view of the old houses, walls and harbour remains beneath the surface.

Kaleköy & Simena:
Stop at the small waterfront village of Kaleköy, with time to explore the village or walk up to Simena Castle for the panoramic views over Kekova.

Gökkaya Bay:
Continue east into the quieter waters of Gökkaya Bay, surrounded by islands and rocky coastline. Depending on the day, this is a great place for a longer swimming break and our Mediterranean picnic.

Sura Delta:

Possibility of spotting sea turtles.

Once home to the famous oracle of Apollo, today Sura is a peaceful corner of the Demre delta. Paddle into the calm waters of the river, cool off with a swim and enjoy the quiet surroundings before continuing towards Andriake.

18 km of kayaking:
The route is divided into four relaxed paddling sections, with swimming and rest stops along the way. We keep enough time to enjoy the places we pass rather than simply covering the distance.

Finish at Andriake:
The tour finishes at Andriake, the ancient harbour of Myra, on the eastern side of Kekova.

For beginners and experienced paddlers:
The route is suitable for people with reasonable fitness, with a Turkish Canoe Federation-certified guide with you throughout the day.

Start & finish:
Start in Üçağız / Kekova and finish at Andriake / Demre. Transfers from Kaş and Kalkan are available.

If you are staying in a hotel, please inform them about your early departure.

How to find us:

Walk through Gönül Café Passage. The kayaks are by the water, just before Teimussa Pansiyon, under the large eucalyptus tree.

Paid parking at Üçağız Harbor (with attendant)
Limited free parking near Koç Pansiyon along the coast (not guaranteed)

Kalkan Transfer

Main meeting point: Just Above Kalkan Taxi Stand

Kalkan’s narrow and steep streets allow pickup only from some safe main-road points.
